At just 23 years old, Tate McRae has become one of the biggest names in pop music. As she continues her career peak, the Canadian star made her debut at the Osheaga festival in Montreal on August 1. Her homecoming was marked by a stunning headlining performance and praise from fans. McRae took to social media to express her gratitude toward her team, who helped her deliver a memorable performance. She also reflected on how she felt performing her biggest hits on the stage in her home country.

Tate McRae Says Osheaga Headlining “Was the Greatest Feeling in the World”

Sharing a carousel of behind-the-scenes moments from her performance, the “greedy” singer wrote on Instagram, “Headlining back home was the greatest feeling in the world!!!!!!!! Osheaga I love youuuuuuuuuuu.” She did not forget to mention those who made it possible.

“My incredible team who helped put this show on,” McRae wrote, tagging everyone from her choreographer to her creative director.

The carousel features 15 of the best moments, including photos and clips from her Osheaga headlining performance. The singer looked incredible on stage with her signature blonde hair and custom outfits designed by Ludovic de Saint Sernin.

Apart from her beautiful, breathy vocals, her high-energy choreography was also on display during her Osheaga debut on Saturday night, and fans couldn’t get enough of it.

Following her emotional Instagram post, her supporters quickly flocked to her page to shower her with praise. “INCREDIBLE,” one simply wrote, while another added, “LOVED everything about this night.”

Another fan quipped, “I still have goosebumps.” A fourth wrote, “It was an unreal experience for my first time in Canada.” One wrote, “the best headliner ever i’m so proud.”

Another fan commented that Tate McRae was the “coolest person ever” to take the Osheaga stage in 2026. One of her Instagram followers applauded the singer’s gesture toward her team. “Wow what an artist. And tagging every single person + dancer!! You ate so harddddd,” they wrote.

McRae surely has been busy over the last weekend, as she also headlined Lollapalooza Chicago on Sunday night, August 2. The highlight of her Lolla set was her “Sports Car” performance. The 23-year-old artist climbed into a pool of metallic gold mid-performance. When she emerged, the crowd broke into applause and cheers. It was one of the top moments from her headlining performance, quickly going viral across social media.

McRae performed her chart-toppers at both Osheaga and Lollapalooza, including "you broke me first," "greedy," "Sports Car," "It’s OK I’m OK," "2 Hands", "Like I Do," "Greenlight," "No I'm Not in Love," and more.
